David Bossick is an award-winning prep sports journalist living in Ludington, Mich. That’s the short answer.
Here’s the long answer: I was born in a small town north of Detroit and bumped along as a child in so many houses, you’d need more than 20 digits to count them. For the most part, those homes were either in the country along some gravel road or in a small town. I grew up in a split home, like others in my generation, thus I can say I lived in South Carolina in my formative years and still have the enjoyment of wonderful Michigan summers.
I graduated high school in – you guessed it – a small Michigan town and went on to earn my bachelor’s degree in journalism from Central Michigan University. Following school, I worked for a little less than six years at the Tuscola County Advertiser in Caro and then, almost like a whirlwind, packed up the kinfolk and moved to Chippewa Falls, Wis. In 2011, we returned to our native state of Michigan as I took a job in Ludington, Mich. We all hope this is the end of the moves, but where life takes us is in God’s hands. I’ve put my faith in believing that He has a plan, and I trust that He will lead me.
I was raised Baptist, not much of a shocker considering how I consider my faith. I am Conservative (and a journalist – gasp!). I’ve loved sports and newspapers since I was a kid.
That’s all of the background I’ve got for now. We’ll flesh out some of my history with some of my present to hopefully come up with a good future.
